The SCLR Cable-Stayed Bridge is a two-lane ramp designed to streamline traffic movement over the Western Express Highway, featuring a 90 degree deviation angle with a 100 m radius of curvature.
Given the complex alignment, the bridge’s Y-shaped pylon was conceptualized to address space constraints and optimize load distribution while ensuring structural efficiency. The connection between the pylon and the superstructure is a unique engineering achievement, developed after overcoming multiple design challenges.
The analytical model was developed in SOFiSTiK software, with the following key aspects:
This innovative bridge not only enhances connectivity but also showcases advanced engineering and analytical techniques in cable-stayed design.
The combination of complex geometry, rigorous analysis, and staged construction modeling ensures long-term stability and efficiency, making it a landmark structure in Mumbai’s infrastructure network.
