At SOFiSTiK, we also look beyond our core functionalities in building and bridge construction: Our software is continuously being developed to offer you not only proven functions, but also in-depth tools for related and more complex topics. Whether special analyses or innovative calculation methods - SOFiSTiK grows with your requirements and opens up new possibilities for your projects.
The construction and building sector accounts for a significant proportion of global CO₂ emissions and resource use. Our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool integrates seamlessly into your workflows and enables a transparent analysis of the environmental impact of different variants. The LCA is part of all three FEM packages of the latest SOFiSTiK pricing and license model.
The FEM packages contain the typical fire protection verifications for columns (EN 1992-1-2 Table 5.2a and Equation 5.7) in the component design. COLUMN-FD extends the checks for reinforced concrete columns with standard cross-sections (circular and rectangular) to the general method (with non-linear stiffnesses and "double bookkeeping" according to Quast). In addition, we offer precise thermal analyses to determine temperature distributions in 2D for the typical critical section checks with reinforcement temperatures and checks under fire (HYDRA-T). This extension then also enables the fire design of any column cross-sections (e.g. composite columns) according to the economical and validated general method with any fire duration and other fire models (e.g. natural fire curves).

The SOFiSTiK add-on modules for geotechnical engineering enable complex calculations such as settlement analyses, 3D foundation and tunnel excavation simulations as well as the determination of deformations and stresses using the finite element method. They support the realistic analysis of soil-structure interaction and a wide variety of structural forms.
The SOFiSTiK module RELY performs reliability analysis of engineering structures modelled by finite elements.
